Ouma Michael is a young maestro musician born of the Samia tribe from Eastern Uganda. He acquired practical musical skills at a tender age through interaction with traditional musicians in local troupes and later went on develop the theory of western and African traditional music in school. With this knowledge he has developed his own style of playing the acoustic guitar by combining traditional rhythms & melodies from Uganda with western contemporary vibes.

He has earned himself credit as one of the notable contributors to African contemporary music and thus conducts various workshops; training communities, schools and individuals; a variety of Ugandan traditional and western instruments as well as producing and arranging music for studio and live performances.

He has been on tour with soul beat Africa a band co-founded with Kinobe Herbert (nomadroots.com) giving African vibes to the people and leaving messages of joy and peace through world music.
